Echopoint is a new horror RPG set in a deep-sea base where time bends and memory fractures. Connected to The Wailing and The Call of the Deep, it’s part of a growing mythos from Se7en Sagas. Launching April 2025, with eerie tension, emotional depth, and unsettling cosmic echoes.

Echopoint is not just another horror adventure—it’s the next layer of a larger cosmic narrative I’ve been weaving, one fragment at a time. Like The Call of the Deep and The Wailing, it exists in a world where time is untrustworthy, memory is fragile, and something ancient waits in the dark.

This time, the story unfolds beneath the Atlantic Ocean.

The Setting: Isolation at the Bottom of the World

Echopoint is set in an experimental research base buried deep beneath the Atlantic. Surrounded by silence, pressure, and the unknowable dark, the crew begins to experience strange phenomena—glitches in perception, echoes of moments that haven’t happened, or perhaps already have.

Something down here is… different. And it’s getting harder to tell what’s real.

The ocean outside isn’t the only pressure building.

Inspiration: Deep-Sea Dread and Time as Horror

The seed for Echopoint came from a mix of influences:

  • The creeping isolation of The Abyss and Sphere
  • The mind-warping dread of Event Horizon
  • The surreal identity shifts in Annihilation
  • And real-world undersea stations like the Conshelf habitats or Portugal’s own deep-sea research along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.

But more than the aesthetic or the setting, it’s about emotional disorientation—what happens when time bends around grief, and memory begins to betray you.

Part of the Greater Mythos

Like The Call of the Deep and The Wailing, Echopoint is part of a growing mythos—one that spans decades, locations, and genres. Each game stands on its own, but together, they tell a larger story of unseen forces, ancient bargains, and the slow unraveling of human consciousness under cosmic pressure.

These are stories of sorrow and transformation. Of isolation, connection, and impossible choices.

You can expect further titles linked to this larger world. Perhaps even a full-fledged ttrpg.

A Glimpse Into the Process

I’m deep in layout as we speak. Here’s a sneak peek at what Echopoint looks like in Affinity Publisher:

Everything—from the formatting to the flow of the adventure—is being shaped with care to immerse you in its unraveling logic. And yes, the timeline in this game may not behave the way you expect…

Coming April 2025

Echopoint will be released on DriveThruRPG this April. If you’ve been following Se7en Sagas for our moody horror or myth-laced stories, this one’s for you.

If The Wailing was about what you can’t control in yourself…
If The Call of the Deep was about what you can’t explain in the world…
Then Echopoint is about what you can no longer trust in your mind.

Stay tuned.
Stay grounded.
And if the signal starts again, don’t answer it.
